PHYSICALLY DISTRIBUTE YOUR MUSIC

Best Buy is abandoning the humble CD and will no longer sell them in its stores starting on July 1st, 2018. With digital distribution sales on the rise, many musicians overlook the physical aspect of selling their music. I come from the era where selling your music out the trunk was the only option. True, digital distribution may be convenient for most, simply pay tunecore to upload your project on iTunes, or Spotify. Overall, I feel a loyal fan would appreciate a physical copy of your music, what are you selling out after the show you just paid $200 to perform in? What are you giving your local DJ, or Radio station? Best Buy will stop selling CDs cool, but that doesn’t mean you should stop!
